Purchases All Week

Well, I guess I should start back to Monday night, I went with a friend to an Auction, and only spent 3.00....it was a bad boring night, unless you collected trains and pocket watches..which btw were going for a pretty penny. I could have bought a lot of junk with the money spent on toy trains and old pocket watches. My only purchase was a small box of costume jewelry, and this picture that I should have gotten up off my @ss to take a picture of.

I guess I just sort of hung around the house Tuesday and Wednesday, did a little jewelry making, stayed cool, ate when I wanted.....remind me that I will be eating these words once school starts..
Today I decided I should at least leave the house, so I headed to the thrift store and here are a few of my purchases.

I find the strangest jewelry at the thrift store sometimes. These earrings were homemade. I'm not quite sure if they were made out of wallpaper ( I doubt it) or fabric (that would be my guess), then they either heavily starched them or used some kind of sealant....modpodge (maybe)...any idea's? Anyway, I think they are kind of cute.

Look for these pictures hopefully in my next post....I hope they at least look different then.

Oh, after I left the thrift store, I went to the nearest furniture store, just to dream and wander around, and mope a little because I won't be getting leather furniture for quite a few years, because that's how long it takes to convince Mr. R that you don't sweat on it in the summer, and you don't get cold on it in the winters.....Ahhhhhh men!! So while I was there, moping and wandering around wishing for leather, I saw a sale.....BINGO....new furniture and it's not leather...A sale does it for me every time...LOL But before the furniture can be put in, we need to paint the walls and ceiling, lay laminate flooring....hmmmm, I wonder if I scheduled all this around Mr. R's vacation on purpose..

In real life, there really isn't much blue in there at all, it's more of a steel blue/grey, and the dark colors are actually brown. I'm new to photo shop and couldn't get the colors right, or is that the person behind the camera? ha!!

Those plates are a real find, they are gorgeous!

I have seen those types of earrings around, but don't know what they use to stiffen them. Maybe you can do a search on paper jewelry to come up with it.
